Team Academy Pro is 100% focused on enhancing youth development in football.

The original concept came following a dialogue with a number of professional coaches working at clubs in London, who were frustrated with the time they were losing on the pitch working with their youth teams as a result of general paperwork.

At the time there was nothing available in the industry to satisfy their full requirements, specifically in managing administration and communication, so work started on Team Academy Pro, initially as a side-project for a small team of staff based at an IT company in the Capital.

As the product developed, the application’s commercial viability quickly became obvious and as a result, Team Academy Pro Limited was formed in 2008.

Having quickly secured deals with eight professional clubs in less than a year, the emergence of Team Academy Pro was recognized by a number of established technology suppliers already servicing the industry, including Scout7.

In the summer of 2009 the Birmingham based company, who at the time already worked with over 120 professional clubs through delivering central scouting management solutions, made the decision to acquire the Team Academy Pro solution, together with the existing members of staff.

Today, Team Academy Pro is benefitting from considerable additional resource being invested into the solution by Scout7, where it sits alongside the company’s three other information management applications.

The investment has resulted in shortened timescales for new system releases and an ongoing development and consultancy dialogue with Scout7's European Account Management team, which is seeing Team Academy Pro fast becoming one of the industry leaders for both central communication and administration management at all levels of youth development, in the UK and beyond.
